Keep Working Whatever the Weather

When a roof is stripped or opened up, the building below is exposed to the weather. A temporary roof keeps rain off the work area and the rooms beneath, so the job can carry on and your property stays protected.

They're especially useful for full re-roofs, loft conversions, extensions and older buildings where the roof will be open for a while.

FAQs

Temporary Roofing FAQs

What is a temporary roof?

A temporary roof is a covered structure built over or above a building while the permanent roof is being replaced or altered. It keeps rain out so work can continue and the building below stays dry.

Do I need a temporary roof for my project?

Not always. For shorter roof repairs, edge protection is often enough. Temporary roofs are most useful for full re-roofs, loft conversions and projects where the roof will be open for some time. We'll advise you when we quote.

Can you provide roof edge protection only?

Yes. We provide roof-level scaffolds with guard rails and toe boards for roofers, solar installers and gutter or fascia work.

Can you help with an urgent or storm-damaged roof?

Yes. We offer a 24/7 call-out for urgent scaffolding, such as making a storm-damaged roof or chimney safe and getting it covered until your roofer can carry out the repair.

Which areas do you cover for temporary roofs?

We provide temporary roof scaffolding across Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, including Chelmsford, Bishop's Stortford, Saffron Walden, Great Dunmow, Colchester and Harlow, and into outer London for larger jobs.
